
Choosing The Right Seat Height

STANDARD CHAIR HEIGHT

Commonly used at a dining table, an office desk, or any standard desk/table surface. Typical heights are: 43 to 45cm (16.9-17.7in)

COUNTER STOOL HEIGHT

Most frequently used stool for your home, breakfast islands, coffee shops and libraries. Counter Stool seat height will be anywhere from 60 to 65cm (23.6-25.in)

BAR STOOL HEIGHT

Made for taller than standard kitchen worktop height, you will find the best use for these stools in commercial areas, restaurants, pubs and cocktail bars. Bar Stool seat height will range from 70 to 75cm (27.5-29.5in)
USEFUL NOTE
Leg Room – Aim to allow for at least 23 to 28cm between the underside of the table and the top of the seat.

BAR HEIGHT TABLES / SURFACES

Higher than standard/residential kitchen worktop height, these are usually used in commercial areas, restaurants, pubs and cocktail bars.
Bar table/surface height will range from 100 to 105cm (39.4-41.3in)
USEFUL NOTE
Footrest – Typically on a bar or counter stool a footrest will be 45cm below the top of the seat.
