Bjarke Ingels, a Danish architect born in Copenhagen in 1974, is a graduate of architecture at Kongelige Danske Kunstakademiets Arkitektskole in Copenhagen and the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona. Following his graduation, he worked in the Office for Metropolitan Architecture for Rem Koolhaas in Rotterdam until 2001. Additionally, in that same year, Ingels co-founded PLOT, an architecture office, in Copenhagen with Julien de Smedt, a Belgian architect.
