Edmund Homa
366 Concept celebrates the legacy of Edmund Homa, one of the defining names within Polish mid century design. Born in northern Poland during 1927, Edmund Homa studied Interior Architecture at the Fine Arts Academy of Gdansk. Afterwards, he built a respected career across furniture, interiors, and graphic design. Moreover, his work helped shape modern Polish mid-century design throughout the twentieth century.
Edmund Homa became known for creating elegant seating with sculptural timber frames and exceptional comfort. Additionally, his furniture reflected the practicality and warmth associated with Polish mid-century design furniture. During the post-war period, designers needed clever solutions for compact apartments and limited materials. Nevertheless, Edmund Homa transformed these restrictions into beautifully balanced designs with lasting appeal. His scholarship at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts also influenced his refined Scandinavian approach.
The iconic 366 Concept 104 Homa Chair perfectly captures Edmund Homa’s timeless style. It combines clean lines, ergonomic comfort, and understated character in one elegant piece. Furthermore, the chair represents the very best of Polish mid-century design sofa and chairs. Today, collectors and homeowners continue choosing these pieces because they bring warmth and sophistication into modern interiors.
At Olson and Baker, we proudly showcase Edmund Homa’s contribution to mid century modern design alongside premium contemporary furniture and beautifully crafted chairs. Additionally, 366 Concept shares our commitment towards craftsmanship, longevity, and thoughtful production.
