Hans Sandgren Jakobsen
Born in Copenhagen in 1963, Hans Sandgren Jakobsen is noted for his unique attention to detail and an ability to take the ordinary and make it extraordinary. Originally trained as a cabinet maker, Jakobsen then went on to study industrial design at The Danish Design School in Copenhagen. During this time he visited America to study the Shakers’ craftsmanship. After graduating as an industrial designer he moved to Japan to work for COBO Design in Nagoya. In 1991 he commenced work for legendary Danish designer Nanna Ditzel and began to make a name for himself.
