The Carl Hansen Chair is made from FSC-certified solid oak or walnut. The frame is finished in oil, soap, or lacquer, protecting the surface during daily use while also preserving the timber's original grain. Each chair is carefully hand-finished, with the paper cord seat alone taking around 8-10 hours of skilled work to complete.
