A clean and wet towel should be used to wipe the surface of any product that is exposed to ordinary or corrosive liquid within 10 minutes. A piece of dry cloth should then be applied to absorb the residual moisture. Please try not to apply a detergent with a high concentration of alcohol or a bleaching effect to clean household products. If you have no alternative, you must wipe the detergent off immediately after cleaning to remove corrosive liquid residue.

How long do Carl Hansen’s CH72 Sofas last?
The lifespan of the CH72 Loveseat Sofa is upwards of 40 years, potentially much longer if cared for correctly. That said, it may need reupholstering after 10-15 years (based on fabric with a Martindale score of 50,000). Luckily almost all the fabric options from Kvadrat to Gabriel offer close to 100,000 Martindale meaning they are very long-lasting.
How do I look after the fabric on my Wegner CH72 Two Seat Sofa?
To keep your CH72 Sofa clean and dust-free carefully vacuum the fabric with a soft brush attachment from time to time (every couple of weeks). These small maintenance acts will meaningfully extend your sofas fabric's lifespan. For spillages aim to soak up any foreign liquid quickly using a soft cloth. After this, gently clean with a soft damp cloth and natural, transparent soap solution. Do not use any harsh chemicals on your upholstery and if in doubt contact us or a local upholstery specialist.

The inside backrest features two spotless, traditional upholstery seams near each armrest on either side. Not only this but underneath the CH72, there will be a Carl Hansen serial number and a Hans J. Wegner signature etched onto a metal plate. These features are all unlike cheap replicas from Indonesia, China and other countries well-known for their assaults on original designs.
