The award-winning Grand Prix Char with Wood Legs is one of the finest examples of modern Danish design around today, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1957. The Grand Prix Char with Wood Legs is produced under license by Fritz Hansen using simple tools, quality materials and time-honoured techniques.
Introduced by Fritz Hansen in 1957 at the designers’ Spring Exhibition in Copenhagen and later displayed in Milan where it received the Grand Prix – where it gets its name. The Grand Prix chair has become an influential design for both aesthetics & its ergonomics.

Materials & Finishes
Grand Prix™ comes in oak and walnut veneer with clear lacquer as well as in coloured ash. All chairs are made of pressure moulded
sliced veneer. Front upholstery or full upholstery is available in a wide range of fabrics and leathers. The base comes with 4 legs in two
variants: Chromed steel tubes (stackable in 3 heights) and non-stackable wooden legs (only available in selected colours in coloured ash).
Fritz Hansen offer a standard five year warranty against manufacturing defects (i.e. materials and design). Normal wear and tear and damage of covers are not covered by the warranty. The warranty for wicker and lamps is 2 years.

Use a dampened, soft, non-abrasive, lint-free colourless cloth to wipe the entire surface of your wood, moving in the direction of the grain.
Dry the wood using a second non-abrasive cloth. Remember to wipe in the direction of the wood grain.
You do not need to polish the wood as part of your regular maintenance, but polishing can restore the wood's natural shine if it begins to look dull.
Never use wax-based polish or ammonia-based cleaning products on your wood.
