Fritz Hansen's N02 collection is highly sustainable and eco-friendly, due to its use of upcycled plastic household waste. The chair's design itself has a crease in its backest which provides support for both your upper and lower back. Also, it comes with seven colour options, inspired by Scandinavian nature. Furthermore, multiple base options make it applicable for work, meeting and dining arrangements. As such, N02 Recycle is an impressive example of sustainability in furniture design. It serves not only a practical purpose but also helps to reduce pollution from plastic waste by giving it a new life.

What other pieces did Oki Sato design for the Fritz Hansen N02 collection?

The N02 collection by Oki Sato for Fritz Hansen includes seven pieces of furniture. These include four chairs (two armchairs and two chairs), one counter stool, and one bar stool. All the chairs are available in either stackable versions with tube legs or sled base, or swivel base with castors. The counter stool and bar stool are both stackable. Suitable for any modern home or office space to provide comfortable seating while adding style and sophistication.

What do Fritz Hansen use to make the shell on the N02 seating collection?

Fritz Hansen uses 100% recycled Polypropylene (PP) to make the seat shell and arm pads on their N02 seating collection. Not only this, but it is also fully recyclable. As an extra environmental measure, all N02 Recycle chair models have also been certified with the EU Eco-label certification. This certification imposes strict requirements regarding raw material production, disposal, and recycling. Fritz Hansen makes the N02 with powder-coated steel parts instead of chrome to further reduce their environmental impact, while still meeting EN 16139 L1 General Contract Use standards for strength, durability, stability and safety as well as EN 1022 standards for stability.

What is a sensible cleaning routine for my Fritz Hansen N02?

Caring for your Fritz Hansen N02 is easy and straightforward. For plastic or powder-coated surfaces, gently wipe the shell with a dry cloth to remove dust and dirt. If this does not work, use a mild solution containing a universal cleaning agent or dishwashing liquid. Then dry off the shell with a cloth wrung out in clean water and finish by wiping with a dry cloth. You can wipe chrome surfaces with either a damp cloth wrung in soapy water. Make sure you dry off with another dry cloth afterwards. You can also use alcohol on chrome surfaces for thorough cleaning. Finally, do not use solvents on coated frames as this may damage them.
