The iconic Semi Pendant Light was first produced in 1968. Developed by world class designer Bonderup & Thorup and produced in Denmark by Gubi, this piece has fast gained fame for its contribution to modern design.
Semi is a unique pendant lamp, based on two quarter-circles put together, back-to-back. With its its distinctive arch-shaped, enamelled metal shade, lightness of form and unique, timeless design, the elegant Semi lamp achieved great success in the 1980's and became, at that time, the best-selling Danish design, gaining worldwide recognition and iconic status.

Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Use lukewarm water and wipe with a clean, soft cloth. If needed, clean with natural soap or dish detergent. Be sure to remove any remaining residue. Never use abrasive or sharp-edged tools to remove stains. Do not dish-wash. Do not use steel wool or any rough surfaces to clean, as this will scratch off the coating/finish.

Bonderup & Thorup
Torsten Thorup and Claus Bonderup are both graduates from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in 1969, and subsequently went to work together at Danish architect, Henning Larsen’s studio in Copenhagen. The two architects teamed up professionally and worked together for the majority of their careers.
