Designed by Staffan Tollgard & Filippo Castellani, its solid Canaletta walnut top appears to float above a substantial cylindrical marble base, connected by a slender matt black metal stem. The contrast between warm timber, cool stone and dark metal gives Ekero a distinctive architectural presence while retaining the inviting character of a beautifully crafted piece of furniture.
Shaped Like a Stone, Crafted Like Furniture
The round tabletop takes its inspiration from stones naturally smoothed by the movement of water, with softly curved lines that give the design a wonderfully tactile quality. A subtly lowered surface adds further definition to the solid walnut top, creating a considered detail that rewards closer attention.
