A Porada Table Inspired By The Infinity Symbol
The Porada Infinity Dining Table takes inspiration from the infinity symbol. Milan-based designer Stefano Bigi created it in 2009. Since then, it has become a bestseller for Porada furniture. Its sculptural base, made from three solid pieces of carved wood, loops endlessly beneath an oblong, rectangular, round or oval tabletop. This flowing form defines Porada’s approach to Italian design.
Infinity Dining Table Base Made from Solid Carved Wood
Each Porada dining table is crafted in Brianza, Northern Italy. The Infinity Dining Table base consists of 12 elements, including three large carved wooden arcs. These are joined by hand and are always in ash wood or Canaletto walnut. You can choose from various stains or matt lacquers. Likewise, the metal ring they sit atop comes in a variety of different painted colours. The top is available in glass, ceramic, marble or solid wood, all are chosen to draw attention to the base’s movement.
Bespoke Italian Dining Tables from Porada
Bespoke table sizes are available. As standard, the Infinity table by Porada comes in lengths from 220cm to 350cm. Depths range from 110cm to 130cm. This makes it ideal for every dining room imaginable. It suits both modern and classic interiors. For similar styles, view our Porada dining tables collection.

What It Is: Lacquered solid wood is finished with a protective coating that enhances the wood’s appearance, typically offering a semi-matt or satin finish. This coating provides a strong barrier against moisture, stains, and wear. Staining further enriches the wood’s natural colour. Over time, some change in the wood’s tone may occur, adding depth to its appearance.
Care Instructions: – Dust regularly with a soft cloth. – Clean spills immediately using a damp cloth, then dry thoroughly. – Avoid abrasive cleaners and harsh chemicals. – Use coasters to protect against heat and moisture. – Keep away from radiators and avoid sudden temperature changes to help prevent potential issues with the wood. – Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
Why It Matters: Lacquer provides a durable, long-lasting finish, protecting the wood from damage. Consistent care helps maintain the surface’s aesthetic and protective qualities, ensuring it remains in excellent condition. Expect subtle changes in the wood’s hue over time, enhancing its character.
Marble
What It Is: Marble is a natural stone known for its elegance and unique veining, used in high-end furniture and surfaces.
Care Instructions: – Clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. – Avoid acidic cleaners. – Seal periodically to prevent staining.
Why It Matters: Marble is porous and can stain; regular sealing and proper cleaning help maintain its beauty and durability.
Ceramics (Bone China, Porcelain, Stoneware)
What It Is: Ceramics are crafted from inorganic materials fired at high temperatures. Types like bone china, porcelain, and stoneware differ in composition and use. Bone china includes bone ash for translucency and strength, porcelain is known for its fine, white quality, and stoneware is durable with a more rugged appearance.
Care Instructions: – Hand wash with warm water and a mild detergent to avoid abrasive cleaners. – Use a soft cloth or sponge for cleaning to prevent scratching. – Dry with a soft, lint-free cloth to avoid water spots. – For lighting fixtures, ensure electrical components are dry and avoid getting the ceramic parts wet. – Handle with care to avoid chipping or cracking. For decorative ceramics, keep away from harsh chemicals and abrasive tools.
Why It Matters: Proper care ensures the longevity and aesthetic appeal of ceramics. Maintaining the integrity of ceramic items preserves their function and appearance, whether in lighting fixtures or furniture pieces.
Glass
What It Is: Glass is a smooth, transparent material used in furniture for its clarity and modern aesthetic.
Care Instructions: – Clean with a glass cleaner and a soft cloth. – Avoid abrasive cleaners. – Dry thoroughly to prevent streaks.
Why It Matters: Glass can show fingerprints and dust; regular cleaning keeps its clarity and enhances its appearance.
