The VP Globe, as its name suggests, is a beautifully spherical piece, consisting of several layers and an internal core. Its translucent outer layer offers a striking visual identity, whilst its core effortlessly reflects light and illuminates its surroundings. Originally drawn up in 1969, it is difficult to believe this pieces futuristic aesthetic is over half a century old - a testament to its timeless design. The domes within the inner structure diffuse the light evenly, creating a warm ambient glow. One of Verner Panton's more intriguing pieces, the Globe offers a unique lighting solution suitable for a variety of settings.

A clean and wet towel should be used to wipe the surface of any product that is exposed to ordinary or corrosive liquid within 10 minutes. A piece of dry cloth should then be applied to absorb the residual moisture. Please try not to apply a detergent with a high concentration of alcohol or a bleaching effect to clean household products. If you have no alternative, you must wipe the detergent off immediately after cleaning to remove corrosive liquid residue.

What is the difference between the VP Globe Glass Pendant Light and the VP Globe Pendant Light?
This decorative VP Globe Glass pendant features a crystal clear transparent acrylic outer sphere with five internal reflectors suspended by three steel chains. The VP Globe Glass Pendant Light features reflectors in opal white glass, whereas the original VP Globe Pendant Light's reflectors are polished aluminium.
What kind of bulb should be used with Verner Panton's VP Globe Pendant Light?
For the most beautiful light from the VP Globe, use a clear bulb. The VP Globe 40 uses a 220V E14 max. 60 Watt and the VP Globe 50 uses a 220V E27 max. 60 Watt.
How to tell the difference between a replica VP Globe and the authentic Verner Panton VP Globe?
There are several ways to tell the difference between a replica VP Globe and an authentic Verner Panton VP Globe. First, look at the materials used. An authentic VP Globe's metal canopy, steel chain and suspended reflectors are all chrome. Its outer shell is acrylic. If any of these materials are missing or seem cheap, it is likely a replica. Second, check for an individual number stamped into the lamp with Verner Panton's signature. Each authentic VP Globe should have its own unique number. Finally, look for a certificate of authenticity that corresponds with the number on the lamp. If you can't find this certificate or the number doesn't match, it's probably a fake.
How much does Panton's VP Globe Light weigh?
Panton's VP Globe Light comes in two sizes - Ø40cm and Ø50cm. The Ø40cm version weighs 5 kilograms, and the Ø50 version 9 kilograms.

The Verpan VP Globe Light features a unique, completely transparent outer shell. The light and airy material of the outer globe allows for the most optimum use of light in a space.
