The Lune Sofa is the very essence of a warm and cosy setting, with a dash urbanity to it. A functional and stylish sofa, the Lune effortlessly combines simple practical living with beautiful aesthetics.

The result is a playful design where designer Jaime Hayon’s slender characteristics create an extremely comfortable and sofa, elegant from every angle. The word “lune” exists only in Danish and the meaning of it is a reference to a feeling of comfort. With Lune, Jaime Hayon has taken the idea of the traditional sofa and added a visually stimulating layer to it.

A clean and wet towel should be used to wipe the surface of any product that is exposed to ordinary or corrosive liquid within 10 minutes. A piece of dry cloth should then be applied to absorb the residual moisture.   1. What is the warranty on this designer sofa?
  2. Lune comes with a five-year warranty against manufacturing defects in standard products (materials and workmanship). However, this warranty does not cover wear, tear and damage to the product. Claims must be submitted to Olson and Baker (from whom the product was purchased).
  3. What are the cushions made out of on this modern designer sofa and is it comfortable?
  4. The cushions on the Lune Sofa are made out of cotton fabric and they are extremely comfortable. When seated, you will instantly feel the softness and comfort of the material as it shapes with your body. This characteristic of comfort also means that the cushions will remain shaped when you get up from the sofa - a quick tap or two is all it takes to return the sofa to its original appearance.
  5. Will the Lune Sofa last a long time?
  6. Yes, the Lune Sofa from Fritz Hansen is designed to last a lifetime. The sofa complies with strict requirements for strength, durability and stability, and is tested to EN 16139 Strength, durability, stability and safety, Non domestic seating - Test Level 2. Additionally, the sofa is also tested to EN 1728 for strength and durability, and EN 1022 for stability.
  7. Do I need to assemble the Lune Modular Sofa?
  8. Yes, the Lune Modular Sofa requires assembly. However, it is designed to be easy to assemble and can be done in any environment with only a few tools. The sofa comes with a keyhole and a corresponding pre-mounted and adjustable screw which links the top of the modules together with an assembly bracket to secure the modules underneath. Furthermore, thanks to the predrilled holes and embedded screws, the legs can be mounted and dismounted quickly. Assembly guidelines will be included in the packaging.
  9. Can I customise the Lune Sofa modules?
  10. Yes, the Lune Sofa modules can be customised by choosing from a range of different fabrics and leathers. The sofa comes with a choice of three different bases: oak, walnut or lacquered wood.

Jaime Hayon

Jaime Hayon, known for his colourful style, has collaborations with Fritz Hansen, Magis and other iconic brands. After studying design in Madrid and Paris he joined Fabrica in 1997 where he directed the design department until 2003. Hayon set up his own studio in 2000, dedicating himself fully to his personal projects from 2003 onward. Today he is one of the most acclaimed creators worldwide.
