Cushion fillings

– Turn and switch cushion positions regularly to reduce soiling and promote even wear
– Plump back and seat cushions daily to keep them looking fresh and new

Upholstery fabrics

– Vacuum frequently, ideally every week, using a suitable mouthpiece for upholstery fabrics
– Remove stains as soon as they occur by soaking up liquids, scraping off hardened stains, and using a sponge or cloth wrung in clean warm water
– For greasy stains, use an appropriate stain removal agent or solvent and test on an inconspicuous area first
– Let the fabric dry fully before use

Leather upholstery

– Avoid placing leather in direct sunlight or extreme heat
– Clean using the foam from soap flakes and avoid soaking the leather
– Absorb spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth
– Dust regularly with a vacuum cleaner with a soft brush
– Never use detergents, ammonia, oils, polish, varnish, etc.

Metal/Steel/Aluminium/Chrome

– Regularly wipe with a microfibre cloth to remove build-up
– Clean with warm, soapy water and wipe dry in the direction of the grain
– Spot clean with benzine on a clean, soft cloth
– Avoid chlorine- and acid-based cleaners, steel wool, steel brushes, or other abrasives

Solid Oiled Wood

– Avoid direct sunlight, placing objects in the same spot for long periods, and putting hot items directly on the surface
– Wipe spills immediately and maintain humidity and temperature levels
– Clean with a moistened cloth, avoiding cleaning agents
– Regularly oil the wood and treat scratches, stains, or dents as needed

Veneers

– Dust regularly with a slightly damp, soft, lint-free cloth
– Clean with a soft cloth dampened with a quality cleaner formulated for wood furniture
– Apply a good quality furniture polish twice a year
– Avoid aerosol-powered cleaners, polishes containing waxes or abrasives, or oil-based polishes

Wicker

– Clean with mild soapy water and a soft brush for heavier soiling
– Rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow to completely dry before use
– Avoid using sharp tools for cleaning to prevent damage to the weave

Paper Cord

– Pour boiling water over soap flakes and allow to cool slightly
– Use a soft cloth to gently wipe the paper cord while the water is warm
– Allow to dry and repeat if necessary (try at your own risk as Danish Cord is Paper)
