Designed in 1955 by Barba Corsini, this lamp takes its inspiration from the iconic La Pedrera building in Barcelona. The lamp's base, influenced by the vaulted ceilings of La Pedrera, offers a solid foundation. The lampshade looks like a cylinder and has holes, just like the building's chimneys.
Historical
Corsini's journey began when he was entrusted with remodelling the La Pedrera attics into 13 modern apartments. Adorning these spaces with his own designs, he created a seamless blend of history and modernity. This lamp stands as a testament to his vision and innovation.
Steel-Clad Endurance
The PD2 Floor Lamp features a steel frame and body, offering exceptional durability and strength. You can choose black or white finishes to match your interior style. This lamp will withstand the test of time.
Collaborative Restoration
Architect and gallerist Joaquim Ruiz Millet saved the PD2 Floor Lamp from obscurity in 1991. It happened during the restoration of La Pedrera. This collaboration revived Corsini's original designs, preserving them for future generations and illuminating contemporary spaces with their classic beauty.
